Currently, with the surging demand for water purification, a new generation of high-efficiency water treatment filter media has stood out due to technological breakthroughs. Covering categories such as quartz sand, activated carbon, and ceramsite, the filter media has significantly improved adsorption and interception capabilities for suspended solids, organic matter, and heavy metals through optimized particle gradation and surface modification.
Compared with traditional filter media, its filtration precision is increased by 30%, service life extended by 50%, and it can be recycled, greatly reducing treatment costs. In practical applications, after a chemical enterprise adopted the new activated carbon filter media, the COD removal rate of wastewater rose from 75% to 92%; the municipal water supply system replaced with high-efficiency quartz sand filter media, reducing the suspended solids content in drinking water to below 0.1mg/L.
Experts point out that such filter media is key to the green upgrading of the water treatment industry and will develop towards intelligence in the future, providing support for the sustainable use of water resources.
