Livestock Wastewater Treatment

Customized water treatment process selection and commissioning based on client's on-site conditions.

Livestock wastewater treatment refers to the systematic process of purifying, disinfecting, and recycling wastewater generated from livestock breeding activities, such as pig, cattle, and poultry farming, to meet environmental discharge standards or reuse requirements. As a key part of agricultural environmental protection, it plays a crucial role in controlling agricultural non-point source pollution, protecting water and soil resources, and safeguarding ecological security.

The main components of livestock wastewater include high-concentration organic matter, ammonia nitrogen, phosphorus, pathogens, and residual antibiotics. If directly discharged without proper treatment, it will cause eutrophication of water bodies, contaminate groundwater, and pose serious threats to human health through the food chain.

Livestock wastewater treatment mainly adopts anaerobic-aerobic combined biological processes, supplemented by physical filtration and chemical disinfection. In recent years, with the promotion of ecological breeding, treatment technologies have developed towards resource utilization, such as biogas production from wastewater and fertilizer utilization of sludge. Treated wastewater can be reused for farm cleaning or crop irrigation, realizing circular agricultural development. Essentially, it is an important guarantee for promoting sustainable agricultural development and constructing ecological civilization.
